In the summer of 2002, my track coach at Springfield College contacted me to go and try out for the USA women’s bobsled team. My parents and I drove to Boston and I was tested in the 30 and 60 meter sprints, shot toss, vertical jump, and 5 hops for distance. After testing well, I was invited to Lake Placid, NY, to push a bobsled on wheels. From there I was selected to compete on the national team. As I finished my rehabilitation degree, I was traveling all over the world competing as a brakeman pushing for drivers Bakken, Rohbock, and Sprung.

In January 2005, I was recognized along with the U.S. Women's Bobsled Team as the USOC Team of the Month. At the end of the 2005-2006 season, I found my passion at a driving school in Igls, Austria. I made my World Cup driving debut just one year later during the 2006-2007 season finishing 8th at World Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland.  This past season (2008-2009), I finished with a world ranking of 7th and 2nd in the USA.
